FRIDAY MORNING - Interval Session
Welcome to Friday morning intervals!! This group was created to encourage people to stay fit, meet new friends & enjoy living in Medellín.
What are intervals? Interval sessions are structured efforts designed to target different energy systems and improve overall athletic performance. Short, high-intensity intervals primarily develop VO₂ max by improving your ability to utilise oxygen and produce power at high outputs, while longer sustained intervals focus more on lactate threshold, helping you tolerate and clear lactate more efficiently so you can hold a faster pace for longer.
These sessions are for ALL levels. Whether you want to push the pace, improve your fitness, learn more about interval training or simply come along for an easy social run, there's something for everyone.
Options:
1) Run/Walk - Go at your own pace, on your own terms.
2) Intervals - A choice of Beginner/Intermediate or Advanced level sessions will be offered.
Please be punctual. Session includes warm up and main session (45-60 mins total). Bring water for the recovery sections. We would love it if you would join for a coffee/juice after. Please bring cash for refreshments. Leave valuables behind or keep them on you as there is no-where to secure items.
